Why Do Secret Agents Get The Best Watches?

It would seem that it really pays to be a secret agent. I mean, just look at all the cool stuff that they get. Cars, money, airplanes, watches and of course the girls. You can understand certain things being important to a secret agent, considering their line of work and all. I mean of course, you’ll need a gun of some kind, not to mention disguises, and the appropriate clothes for the job. But, does James Bond really need all that other stuff. Or, is it just to tease us into wishing we could be as cool as he was if only we had all that other stuff. Or, perhaps, he just gets all that other stuff because he is cool. Either way it seems a bit unfair. But still fun to watch.
I suppose you could would need a good car if your a secret agent, just to make sure the bad guys can’t catch up with you. Although Jason Bourne was a pretty cool secret agent, and he seemed content to get the cute girl to drive him around in her beat up and crappy little car. I suppose that as long as the girl was there, he could dispense with the cool car. Probably something in the secret agents contract. But what about the watches? J. Bond’s watches always seemed to be elegantly cool, and somewhat prominent in many of his scenes. Heavens, could this be a bit of product placement working it’s way into the story line? Either way they do look like they’d be nice to have. Well I may not have Mr Bonds bank account, I might be able to get my hands on an Co-Axial duplicate and a few nice accessories in the even I ever get called into secret agent status. It could happen you know.
One item I did leave off the list that would definitely be part of my toys if I was ever a secret agent, would be a big honkin sailboat. I love sailing, and I know it adds to the whole secret agent mystique. While Pierce Brosnan didn’t a secret agent in the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair circa 1999, he did spend a little time as our favorite British agent. But, in The Thomas Crown Affair, he did spend some time sailing on one of those multi million dollar racing catamarans. He actually ends up wrecking it in the move. Oh well, another day in the life of a secret agent I guess.

I heard that he was to eager do a Neighbours cameo :O. do you know if this is true? There’s a bit of me that sort of wishes this is true lol.
