The chin up bar is one piece of equipment that is available in two different forms of installation and the best part is that both the forms are equally easy to install. One kind of chin up bar is a simple doorway piece while the other kind is a free-standing piece of equipment that requires a perfect installation place.
The chin up bar basically is a metal bar or a pipe that is placed horizontal and parallel to the ground and it is generally supported by a metal or a wooden frame. Some people also prefer to install the chin up bars of two – three different heights to suit the needs of people of all sizes at home.
The chin up bar may seem too simplistic for those who are used to more sophisticated exercise equipment but it is one of the best pieces for exercising. Consisting of a simple frame which can be of wood or metal, it requires the user to hang onto the bar above with his bodily weight hanging in the air.

There are approximately six methodologies for increasing upper body strength like standing below the bar with the feet shoulder width apart, jumping up and grabbing the bar, bending the knees and crossing the ankles for a balanced position, pulling up so the chin to level with the bar, lowering the body so elbows are straight and repeating the movement without touching the floor.
