The HP Deskjet F380 also known as a Hewlett Packard, also includes a scanner in the upper part of the printer/scanner. To scan an item, means to covert a picture or text into data, then that information is then transferred to your computer in an image format. If you need to scan an item to a computer it can be done in a simple way with the HP Deskjet F380. There is however a limitation with the device and that is the scanning areas size, because the item needs to fit in the area of the scanner part of the HP Deskjet F380.
To start up the device, you will need to turn the HP Deskjet F380 on, by using button called On which will be allocated near the control panel at the top. This panel will positioned at on left hand section of the device.
To scan the item, put the item in the scanning area. To do this the lid will need to be lifted of the F380 printer. Position the item facing down towards the surface for the image to be scanned. The item to be scanned has to properly be aligned in the left hand corner at the front of the scanner and then once that is done properly close the lid.
To scan, click on the button called scan that is located in the left hand corner in bottom end of the HP Deskjet F380 panel. Then start the process by clicking on the start button. If you have to stop the process, then click the button called cancel which is located on the left side of the button X of the controlling panel.
Finally, you will need to save the imaged that you have just scanned, to your computer. Once the scanning process has completed click the button called Accept, which will be in the window that will appear on the monitor of the computer.
