There are many aspects to consider if you are contemplating Feng Shui home decorating, the basic idea is to attract harmony and joy to your home by ensuring a positive flow of energy. The principle can be incorporated into most homes with consulting a Feng Shui practitioner, however if you are serious about a grand home decoration scheme you will almost certainly be looking at major costs and a considerable amount of upheaval so that would be an excellent time to really delve into the finer aspects of the intricacies involved. You may be expecting to move a staircase or reposition your bathroom so why not take the bull by the horns.

The first principle of Feng Shui has to be de clutter. Mountains of junk in the attic will weigh you down and all that clutter under your bed will be affecting the quality of your sleep. It is probably best to start with one room at a time and before you move onto the next aspect of the planning and decorating stage take time to enjoy the fact your home is now clutter free and reflect on the differences already made.
