My First Monkey Trivia Contest

So, I’ve been thinking about what to do for my first trivia contest on this site, and I came across this picture on Flickr (creative commons licensed). To me it’s a little disturbing, but the original poster put it up with intention of having his commentators come up with a caption heading for it. There were a few humorous ones to be sure, and even a few that thought it was kind of cute. But to me, the first thought that came to my mind was neither humorous nor cute. It was more along the lines of a tiny famished visitor begging for release.
But with the thought of trivia in mind, I was wondering what kind of questions it stirs up in your mind? I’ll leave it to you readers to come up with a comment that would be worthy of a monkey trivia contest. Believe it or not, I did find some exact phrases of “monkey trivia contest” on a couple of websites. Just when you think you’ve come up with something interesting and unique, you find that some joker with a website has done it already. Anyway, I was think if we get a dozen or so good questions and answers from the comments section below, then I’ll put up an official contest and offer some slick monkey related prizes. Don’t worry, they won’t be bananas or peanuts. Not that I mind bananas or peanuts, it’s just the make for really sucky prizes.
So, if your looking for some ideas to get you started, here’s a few questions to get you started. Which order of the monkey family is the smartest? Questions about food, habitat, behavior, mating practices, and cognitive abilities are all fair game. Feel free to include any of the primate species in this contest just to make it a little more fun. I did a research paper on chimpanzees back in university when I took Anthropology 101, so while I may not be an expert on the subject, I feel I am qualified to select the best questions and adjudicate the final contest. For any controversial issues, I reserve right to contact the original author of the questions and bow to their expertise. So, get at it you monkeys, and start asking questions.
