The Wealthy Affiliate program is an online membership that offers in depth training into one method of making money on the Internet, that of affiliate marketing.  Affiliate marketing is when you promote other people’s products and get paid a commission for sales that you make.  The whole process is tracked through links that contain what is called a tracking cookie, which keeps track of which visitors clicked on your link and then bought the product.  Then the sale is credited to you, and you make money.

Of course, the whole thing is a lot more complicated than that.  It’s not just a matter of getting visitors to click on your links.  You first have to get them to your site.  And not just any visitors, you are interested in the ones who are looking to buy, not just people who are looking for information.  Then, once you have them on your site, you need to provide a helpful review which explains what the product is and if its right for them.  And if it’s not right, then you want to have a different product right there that they can buy instead that will be a better match for them.

Wealthy Affiliate fills in the blanks where affiliate marketing is concerned.  It teaches you all the little nuances that make the difference between making money online and not making anything at all.  And it teaches you several different methods of getting traffic to your site.

The methods you;ll learn there take a lot of work to implement.  While they might be simple in theory, it takes a lot of boring, repetitive work, and not everyone is willing to do that.  It’s important to know that ahead of time, because people who don’t realize that often end up calling it the Wealthy Affiliate scam, since it wasn’t as easy as they expected.
