Hair Transplants Are Cheaper Over The Long Run

There are literally hundreds of different methods of hair loss treatment that you can try if you start to have thinning hair or bald spots appear. The sad fact, though, is most of them are a complete waste of time. If you don’t actually treat the cause of the problem then you are just throwing money down the drain. Most hair loss is caused by Androgenic Alopecia which is a genetic condition passed down from one or both of the parents to the patient. This condition can be present in both men and women but even within one sex the results can be quite variable for different people.

For men the symptom is usually loss of hair at the front of the head, known as a receding hair line, or at the vertex or crown area. They usually continue to have adequate hair growth at the sides and good, thick growth at the back. This fact makes a procedure known as hair transplantation effective as a way to get hair growing in the bald spot again.

When a man suffers Androgenic Alopecia, also called male pattern baldness, his hair follicles (the roots) actually stop producing the hair growth material known as keratin. If you are using some sort of hair growth product then you need to be treating this production problem inside the scalp or you are wasting your money. The problem is, once the hair follicle has stopped producing hair shaft material it will not start again. At this point the only option is to transplant hair from the back of the scalp to the bald area. This implanted hair will then grow for years to come. An affordable hair transplant procedure is easy to justify because of two reasons. The remedy you are spreading on your hair every day is probably not really doing you any good, and , even if it was, you would need to keep it up for the rest of your life.

The hair transplantation procedure is a one time charge which will pay dividends in growing hair for years to come.
