Different Ways To Reuse A Cupcake Stand

Posted on January 9, 2010 | Category: food trivia

Cupcake stands are a wonderful way of showing off the cupcakes you have had especially made for your birthday party, wedding reception, or even just a simple get-together. They are quickly becoming popular among brides who are eschewing the traditional wedding cake in favor of elegant cupcakes on a wedding cupcake stand. If you use one of these stands at your party, you may want to put to use afterward as well, rather than throwing it into the trash.

If the stand you have is unstackable (and if you have make it yourself, you can be certain to build it that way) you can use the separate pieces in many ways. Perhaps you need a catch-all for the miscellaneous items that always seem to get lost when you need them most. You could put your car keys, pens and pencils, or loose change into it and have the added benefit that every time you do, you will be reminded of the event where the cupcake stand was used.

Conversely, you could unstack the stand, pack it away neatly, and have it ready for use at a moment’s notice the next time there is a party underway. Doing it this way and changing the topper to suit the theme of the party is a great way to get a lot of mileage out of it while still keeping it fresh and interesting.

Instead of getting a reusable one, you can actually buy or make your own cardboard cupcake stands. This will be much more affordable, though by no means “cheap” in its looks. If done right, a cardboard setup will look just as wonderful as its wooden counterpart. In fact, while not strictly reusable, if taken care of, you can still reuse these for several parties before you may have to get a new one.

The next time you have a party with cupcakes as the centerpiece, make sure you hold onto the cupcake stands as you never know when you will find a use for them.

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!

@chels I know what you mean, its hard to find good help these days. People now days just don’t have the work ethic they used to have. I mean consider whoever wrote this post, they must have been working hard to write that good and it took a good bit of their time I am sure. I work with people who couldn’t write like this if they tried, and getting them to try is hard enough as it is.
