Deciding On The Right Shape For Your Cosmetic Tattoo Eyebrows

Posted on March 30, 2010 | Category: Tattoo Trivia

Finding the right shape for your permanent cosmetic tattoo eyebrows is not as easy as just looking at some tattoo eyebrows pictures or selecting your favorite brows from fashion magazines or beauty books. Why? Because your eyebrow is one the focal points of your face and the shape you choose, unless it is a simple enhancement to your natural brow, can dramatically alter your look.

The shape you choose should not just take into account what brows you like on other women, but what you have to work with, namely your face shape, your cheek and brow bone structure, your eyes, whether you wear glasses or not, and your lifestyle and personality. If you are not a dramatic person and do not wear heavy makeup or wild clothing styles, you will want something more natural than a woman who is perhaps more eccentric. However, even if you do tend toward dramatic makeup and want eccentric brows, I still recommend going with a style and shape that s as natural as possible if it’s your first time. You can always get thicker, darker and more dramatic ones added to the natural line if you desire, but first off, try for something subtle.

How can tattoo eyebrows pictures help you decide what shape to get? First, before you look at any pictures, know your face shape. Why? Because if you know your face shape you can then look at only those pictures and styles that are on women with a similar bone structure. Second, eliminate all pictures of women of a different ethnicity or natural skin pigmentation that is not the same or very close to your own. Even if you are looking at pictures of successful cosmetic tattoo eyebrows, do not think yours will look the same if you are light skinned and have bluish or pink undertones as it will on someone with olive skin or yellow undertones. Tattoo pigments react differently with your natural tones so look at those women who most resemble you.
