Botulinum Toxin is the correct name for Botox. Botox is neurotoxic protein and also a medication. Botox is created from a harsh toxic bacteria called Clostridium Botulinum. This substance is the most toxic bacteria known to man. Even though this substance can cause various side effects, people still use it to treat certain illnesses. One of these common uses is for eliminating muscle spasms.
Spasms of a muscle is when the muscle, or another body organ, contracts suddenly and involuntarily. Botox may also cure stretch marks that were created from muscle spasms. Although it will not remove the marks completely, it will paralyze the muscle or muscles that create the stretch marks, which makes the marks look like they are completely gone. Botox is mainly used to make wrinkles caused by age or even illness to look like they have disappeared. One must apply botox every three to four months to expect the treatment to be successful.
Botox might be very expensive, ranging from $375 to $500. The price can be affected by the area you live in, the doctor’s qualifications, and what time of year it is. Botox treatments must be given on a regular basis. The prices may fluctuate, and may even rise above $500. There are a few reasons why the price can be so high.
First of all, there is only one single company in the whole U.S. that supplies Botox. There are a few other companies that make Botox across the globe, but we cannot get them in America. Another reason the cost for Botox can sometimes be so high is because Botox can spoil fairly easily. It must be kept in dry ice for storage, and once you remove it from its container, it is only good for up to four hours. If you have wrinkles, then you should definately consider Botox as a treatment for removal.
