A Camping Heater is a Great Way to Warm up Your Cold, Damp Tent

Ah camping.  The time of year outdoor enthusiasts and city clickers alike look forward to!  Camping means getting out of the rat race that is everyday life, taking time away from that stressful job, spending time with family and friends, roasting marshmallows over an open fire and being able to see the stars above without light pollution getting in the way.  Camping also means cold, damp nights shivering in your sleeping bag and doing anything you can to keep warm while dreading the even colder and damper morning that awaits you when you crawl out of your sleeping bag.   In the past, I would light a few tea lights to heat up the tent before going to be, bundle up in as much clothing as possible, blow out the candles and crawl into my sleeping bag with a bottle full of hot water.  That was before I started using a camp heater.

Camping heaters are a fairly new invention in the outdoor activity world.  Using one of these to heat up your vango tent at night will ensure that you get a good, comfortable sleep and it will get rid of any lingering dampness.  Just turn it on for a little while before you sleep and than turn it on for a few minutes when you first wake up and voila! You will never have to sleep or wake up in a cold, damp environment again!

A camping heater can be purchased at any outdoor gear store, some department stores and anywhere that sells camping equipment.  There are many types such as camping gas heaters but all of them serve the same purpose; to keep your tent or trailer warm.  Most of the ones on the market today can plug into a car cigarette lighter or if you have an RV and hooked up to power, you can plug it into that.

These heaters are like any other heating appliance and should be used with caution and never left unattended.  Read the instructions thoroughly and follow them at all times to ensure the safety of you and your family!  Camping is supposed to be fun so don’t let a careless mistake ruin a good weekend!
